BMW of North America has just issued a recall for the new 2011 BMW X3. Produced at the factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the new X3 is facing a recall over an issue with the control module in the electric power steering.
The malfunction may result in a loss of power steering.
The recall affects the X3 models built between April 27, 2011 and June 8, 2011, totaling 50 vehicles. The owners are being notified and the local dealerships will repair the control module free of charge.
