The history of the MÜNCH Mammut 2000
In 1997, businessman Thomas Petsch, from Würzburg, purchased all rights to the brand MÜNCH. He started the MÜNCH Mammut 2000 project and showed, that even a small team can bring about top performances in the area of motorbike technology. Under the roof of the MÜNCH Motorradtechnik GmbH, 250 MÜNCH Mammut 2000 should have been built, so that the machine could become the strongest miniseries motorbike. Based on a modified 2-litre turbo-engine, the strongest but also most expensive manufactured machine of modern time was created. To make spectacular and courageous decisions at any time as well as shaping the future are ideas that keep to the spirit of Friedel Münch. Due to the high costs of production, only 15 machines were built from 2000 until 2002. Until now, the MÜNCH Mammut 2000 is the strongest serial production motorbike in the world.
